ABSTRACT:
In a silver halide color photographic material which has red-, green- and blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers on a support, the improvement wherein the total thickness of the hydrophilic colloid layers is not more than 18 .mu.m on a dry basis and at least one silver halide emulsion layer contains a cyan dye-forming coupler represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## where R.sub.1 is an optionally substituted alkyl, aryl or heterocyclic group; Ar is an optionally substituted aryl group; and X is a group that may be eliminated upon coupling reaction with the oxidized product of a color developing agent.
