ABSTRACT:
A silver halide photographic material is described, having at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing an iodine-containing silver halide on a support and having one or more auxiliary layers on the outermost surface of a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer positioned farthest from the support, wherein at least one of the auxiliary layers contains a substantially non-light-sensitive silver halide emulsion or a silver halide emulsion containing grains whose inner part or surface part is fogged, and the material contains at least one compound represented by formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R, X, Y, Z, and n are described in the specification.
