ABSTRACT:
A sticker emplacer for a lumber stacker in which the stickers supported in a series of spaced-apart stacks are each unloaded from the bottom of their stack and translated against a sticker holder device which then clamps on it and holds it positively. When the lumber layer is in place each sticker holder positively lowers its sticker and emplaces it on the top of the layer of boards. Then the clamp is released so that the sticker remains on the boards, while the sticker holder is retracted upwardly and made ready for the next layer.
