ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to a process for manufacturing phosphono imidate compounds corresponding to the formula: ##STR1## wherein R can be selected from alkylene having at least 2 carbon atoms, alkenylene having at least 2 carbon atoms, cycloalkylene, arylene, substituted arylene wherein the substituents can be halo or nitro; R.sub.1 can be alkyl; R.sub.2 can be selected from alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cyano alkyl, aralkyl, alkanoyl alkyl, alkylmercapto alkyl, N-thiazolyl acetamido, phthalimido alkyl, arylthioalkyl, haloarylthioalkyl, thiocyanoalkyl and mixtures thereof.
