ABSTRACT:
In a preferably hydraulic control for a preferably hydraulically-driven earth boring mechanism, whereby a boring rod equipped with a boring tool is fed into and out of the earth with simultaneous rotation, the feed speed of the rod is regulated automatically in dependence on the rotational movement applied to the boring rod and/or on the feed force applied to the boring rod to optimize the speed of the boring process and to prevent overload damage to the boring rod, boring tool and other parts of the boring mechanism.
