A magneto-optical recording medium has magnetic multi-layers including a reproductive layer, which is a magnetic layer having perpendicular magnetic anisotropy, for reading out magneto-optically recorded information and a recording layer, which is a magnetic layer having perpendicular magnetic anisotropy, for magneto-optically recording information.
