ABSTRACT:
An inert fluid of high chemical stability which comprises a perfluorinated cyclic ether having the formula C.sub.10 F.sub.20 O, and its preparation by perfluorination of the corresponding ethylenically-unsaturated cyclic ether C.sub.10 F.sub.18 O with cobalt trifluoride, electrochemically or with fluorine gas.
