ABSTRACT:
A terpolymer is prepared from phenol, furfuryl alcohol and formaldehyde wherein a substantial amound of the furfuryl alcohol is catalytically reacted by means of a water soluble multivalent metal salt catalyst, and wherein the reaction is carried out under essentially hydrous conditions.
