ABSTRACT:
Novel aromatic guanidine compounds having the formula: ##STR1## wherein: R.sub.1 is hydroxyl, methyl or hydroxymethyl and R.sub.2 is hydrogen or methyl, are found to have biological activity. The guanidine compounds and their salts are shown to be activate as vasoconstrictor agents and create useful pharmaceutical preparations when deployed with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier for administration to a host, e.g., man, requiring vasoconstrictive therapy.
