ABSTRACT:
A positive displacement pump for slurries has a plunger reciprocating in a receprocation direction a plunger chamber. Gravity biased inlet and outlet valves control the egress and egress of slurries to the chamber. Special fittings between the valves and the chamber allow the valves to be oriented at one of four directions separated by 90.degree. angles so that the valves may be oriented so that flow is upwardly therethrough in any attitude of the plunger chamber.
