ABSTRACT:
In moldings which have a density of from 0.1 to 0.4 g/cm.sup.3 and contain silica aerogel particles which have a mean diameter d.sub.m of from 0.001 to 8 mm and are bonded to one another by means of at least one organic or inorganic binder, the binder contains sheet silicates and/or clay minerals.
