ABSTRACT:
Cyclohexanone which has been obtained by dehydrogenation of a cyclohexanone/cyclohexanol mixture is substantially freed from by-products, in that such a dehydrogenation mixture is treated in the gas or liquid phase with hydrogen on a hydrogenation catalyst at 20.degree. to 180.degree. C. and at a pressure of 0.1 to 15 bar.
