A Device for driving rods used primarily for soil mechanics tests into the round, of the type comprising a traction and compression resistant tubular one-piece rod (42) made of a material and capable of being curved by reversible elastic derformation, a drum (44) for winding said rod (42) and a device (46) for driving and extracting said rod.
