ABSTRACT:
A magnetic recording medium having the excellent properties including the electromagnetic conversion properties is disclosed. The magnetic recording medium comprises a support and provided thereon in sequence the first magnetic layer and the second magnetic layer, wherein the first magnetic layer contains a magnetic substance of 1200 to 3500 grains/.mu.m.sup.3 and the magnetic layer contains a magnetic substance of 3500 to 7000 grains/.mu.m.sup.3.
