ABSTRACT:
A method is provided for making photocathodes which uses a stainless steel igh-vacuum, or ultrahigh vacuum, manifold fitted with side-tubulations and appertenances, and having interior surfaces that are coated or plated with a noble metal or semi-noble metal layer, in order to assure most extreme cleanliness within the vacuum system.
