ABSTRACT:
A system with motor control uses multiple timing signal generators to control a stepper motor. Control is based on a first timing signal generator when changing the motor's angular velocity. Control is based on a second timing signal generator when the motor's angular velocity is to be maintained about a desired angular velocity. The system monitors the timing between the timing signal generators to reduce the possibility of motor stall, for example, when control passes from the first timing signal generator to the second.
