ABSTRACT:
A compact zoom lens system includes a positive first lens group and a negative second lens group. The first lens group includes a first positive lens, a second negative biconcave lens and a third positive biconvex lens. The second lens group includes a fourth positive meniscus lens with the concave surfaces of the lens oriented towards the object side and a fifth negative meniscus lens with the concave surfaces of the lens oriented towards the object side.
