ABSTRACT:
A polymetallocarbosilane having a number average molecular weight of 700 to 100,000 derived from a polycarbosilane having a number average molecular weight of 200 to 10,000 and containing a main-chain skeleton represented mainly by the general formula ##STR1## wherein R represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group or a phenyl group,
and an organometallic compound represented by the general formula
