ABSTRACT:
A lightweight closure panel for a crypt opening and a method of closing and sealing a crypt opening are disclosed. The closure panel is fabricated of synthetic plastic of substantially uniform thickness and comprises a central panel bounded about the perimeter thereof by a relatively resilient edge preferably in the form of a substantially U-shaped groove. The resilient edge of the closure panel is sufficiently flexible to form an interference fit between the closure panel and crypt opening when inserted therein so that a fluid-tight seal can be obtained.
