ABSTRACT:
A disposable diaper is provided with adhesive tab fasteners having an adhesive coating on substantially all of one face thereof. The tabs have side edges, a fixed end secured to the diaper, and a free working end which includes a distal end portion and an adjacent central portion. A plurality of elongated spacer means are adhered to the adhesive-coated surface and define expoded adhesive regions therebetween. The distal end portion is folded over onto the central portion, with the spacer means being positioned so that the spacer means on the distal end portion bridge the spacer means on the central portion and vice versa, and are in limited adhesive contact with a juxtaposed region of the adhesive coated surface at a plurality of attachment points between the points of bridging by juxtaposed spacer means.
