ABSTRACT:
Solvent-extraction processes to recover metal values are improved by use as a component of the solvent-extractant of didodecylnaphthalene sulfonic acid. Especially important applications for the improved solvent-extractant which can include a .alpha.-hydroxy oxime are in the separation recovery of copper, nickel, zinc and cobalt and the selective separation of these metals, one from the other, and from iron, in acidic aqueous media.
