ABSTRACT:
A photographic element is described comprising a support having thereon a silver halide emulsion layer where the silver halide is sensitized with a dye having the formula: ##STR1## wherein where Z.sub.1, Z.sub.2, Z.sub.3, R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5, and X are as defined herein.
