ABSTRACT:
There is disclosed a coupler for photography of the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and Y each represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent; R.sub.2 represents a substituent; n represents an integer of 0 to 4, and when n is 2 or more, plural number of R.sub.2 's may be the same or different; X represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent which is eliminated by the reaction with the oxidized product of a color developing agent.
