ABSTRACT:
As an attractant composition for cockroaches, a furanone compound having the formula ##STR1## where R' is H or CH.sub.3 ; R" is H, a straight chain or cyclic hydrocarbon moiety of 1 to 12 carbon atoms; oxy-alkyl and alkoxy groups, in a compatible, inert carrier; a poison bait food composition containing said attractant and a method of destroying cockroaches using said attractant.
