ABSTRACT:
The compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen, methyl or hydroxymethyl, R.sub.2 is hydrogen or methoxy, R.sub.3 is hydroxy or methoxy, and R.sub.4 is hydrogen or a group ##STR2## is novel, and the compound is of use as inhibitors of animal tissue fibrosis, or biochemical reagents.
