ABSTRACT:
A pivotable support mechanism for an aircraft rescue hoist or the like. The pright position provides sufficient structural strength to support objects to be lifted by the hoist. The swing-away position provides clearance for access to other equipment without requiring removal of the hoist from the aircraft.
