ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for bending a sheet die cutting knife to a specified shape, in which a knife is supported by a supporting mechanism and a clamping mechanism in connection with the upper face of the surface plate and bent by a bending mechanism in which the edge portion of the bending die which constitutes the bending mechanism is brought into contact, through vibrations and drive, with the knife side opposite to the direction along which the knife is about to be bent, by alternatively repeating a specified staying time and knife feeding time by the knife feeding mechanism every time such a bending process is carried out. This makes it possible to bend the knife to various shapes by properly changing the operating time of the bending mechanism and the feeding mechanism with a control device.
