A piston is provided with a detachable extension on the flat bottom of the piston, which towers upwardly and reaches during the upstoke into a pocket of the cylinder head. The detachable extension has a slit located close to the bottom of the piston. An opening in the cylinder wall is provided, opening a path to the heating-chamber.
