ABSTRACT:
Trichloroethylidene-bis-(isocyanide-dichloride) is prepared by treating trichloroethylidene-bis-formamide with acid chlorides in the presence of an inert diluent at temperatures of about 0.degree. to 150.degree.C. The reaction mixture is then reacted, simultaneously or subsequently, with an excess of chlorine to form the desired product.
