ABSTRACT:
A process for the N-.omega.-trifluoroacetylation of a saturated aliphatic monocarboxylic .alpha.,.omega.-diamino acid. A saturated aliphatic monocarboxylic .alpha.,.omega.-diamino acid of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R represents a straight-chain or branched-chain C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkylene radical, is contacted with a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 straight-chain or branched-chain alkyl trifluoroacetate.
