ABSTRACT:
Higly concentrated solutions of N-methylol-chloroacetamide are prepared by treating chloracetic acid methyl ester in solution in isopropanol with ammonia at temperatures of -20.degree. to 10.degree. C and then reacting with paraformaldehyde at temperatures of 60.degree. to 120.degree. C after the addition of water and a basic catalyst.
