ABSTRACT:
A printed microwave susceptor includes a paper or paperboard substrate having first and second surfaces. A food contact layer is applied to one surface, and separate thermal insulating layers and microwave interactive layers are applied to the other surface, with the thermal insulating layer being disposed between the substrate and the microwave interactive layer. The microwave interactive layer may be overcoated with a protective layer for abrasion resistance.
