ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to surface-modified pigments based on TiO.sub.2 pigments or TiO.sub.2 -coated platelet-shaped substrates and overcoated with a layer consisting of borates of alkaline earth metals and/or double borates of alkali and/or alkaline earth metals and to the use thereof as yellowness inhibitors in plastics and plastics systems.
