ABSTRACT:
There is disclosed an apparatus and method for drilling underground. The apparatus includes a conventional drilling bit and a shroud disposed around the drill bit to produce a confined for the suspension of drilling debris. The debris is withdrawn under suction from the area by a conduit system associated with the shroud and a cyclonic filter structure.
