ABSTRACT:
A steam cooled gas turbine system in a combined power plant, constituted such that a tail pipe of a combustor is cooled with intermediate pressure steam from an exhaust heat recovery boiler, or outlet bleed steam from a high pressure turbine, and the cooling steam is recovered into an intermediate pressure turbine or an intermediate area of a reheater of the exhaust heat recovery boiler, whereby thermal efficiency is improved, and a cut in NO.sub.x is achieved.
