ABSTRACT:
A pump casing made of sheet metal has a substantially cylindrical cup-shaped sheet-metal pump casing having a bottom on one axial and thereof and an opening defined in an opposite axial end thereof. The interior of the pump casing is divided by a partition wall disposed therein into a suction chamber and a hydrocasing chamber with an impeller rotatably housed therein. A suction nozzle is mounted on a cylindrical side wall of the pump casing and communicates with the suction chamber. The partition wall is joined to the bottom of the pump casing. The suction nozzle is positioned over the suction and hydrocasing chambers.
