ABSTRACT:
Cyclohexadienes are produced by heating in the presence of an organic solvent a compound of the formula: ##EQU1## wherein X is either --COCH.sub.3 or --COOR.sub.1, R.sub.1 is a lower alkyl group.
The preferred cyclohexadienes are useful as intermediates in the preparation of odorants.
