ABSTRACT:
In a method of representing and rendering three-dimensional data on a computer display using vectors, a three-dimensional surface to be displayed is divided into a large number of unit surfaces. A coordinate position of each unit area is displayed by vector information constituted by a normal vector which has a vector direction indicating a normal direction of each unit surface and a vector length indicating an absolute value of a surface area of each unit surface. The normal vectors are combined to obtain data for representing the three-dimensional surface.
