ABSTRACT:
A recording head having discharge portions for discharging multiple inks and liquid chambers in communication with said discharge portions, said recording head comprising an electrically conductive film provided tangentially with the ink on a part of a wall constituting said liquid chambers, and an electrical connection for electrically connecting to an ink jet recording apparatus on which said recording head is mounted, wherein said electrically conductive film and said electrically connection are connected to measure the resistance between said electrically conductive film and an electrode located within an ink storage portion.
