ABSTRACT:
Disclosed are surface markings systems and methods of producing such systems in which the marker is at once permanently and strongly affixed to the surface during normal use thereof but efficiently and economically removable from the surface during repair or recycling operations. The preferred systems utilize a reactive adhesive which, when cured, has a lap shear strength of at least about 1000 psi at about 25.degree. C. and a lap shear strength of about 50 psi or less at least one temperature in the temperature range of from about 70.degree. C. to about 180.degree. C. The use of curable epoxy adhesives is described.
