ABSTRACT:
A zoom lens having three lens groups of positive, positive, and negative refractive power, in order from the object side. A diaphragm is positioned between the first and second lens groups. When zooming from the wide-angle end to the telephoto end, the diaphragm and the third lens group are moved as a unit while the spacing between the first lens group and the diaphragm increases, the spacing between the diaphragm and the second lens group increases, and the spacing between the second lens group and the third lens group decreases. Further, the zoom lens is constructed so as to satisfy the following condition
