ABSTRACT:
An electrical connector (2) is disclosed which includes an insulating housing (4) which includes a plurality of electrical terminals (100). The connector (2) also includes an actuator (50) which is moveable relative to the housing (4) to open the contact portion (128) for a zero insertion force entry of a stripped conductor of a multiple conductor cable (150). When the actuator is moved vertically downwards, the actuator bottom edge (61) engages an actuator arm (122) which allows the contacts to open and accept the conductor (152).
