ABSTRACT:
In an X-ray scanning apparatus, an X-ray detector includes a plurality of detection channels, e.g., 320 channels. Those detection channels are electrically divided into two subchannel groups. Each of those subchannel groups involves a peripheral detection region and a central detection region. An A/D conversion is sequentially performed as follows. An X-ray transmission signal detected in the peripheral channel region is first A/D-converted, and an X-ray transmission signal derived from the central channel region is finally A/D-converted, so that an artifact may be avoided in a resultant tomographic image.
