A work measurement apparatus1comprises a base2and a conveyor table3which is slidably disposed on the base2and includes a work receiving opening6. A guide plate4is fixedly disposed on the conveyor table3. A guide entrance5is disposed in the guide plate4at the upper end of the work receiving opening6. A measurement probe8is disposed on the upper side of the guide plate4. The measurement probe8is urged towards the work W in the work receiving opening6. The measurement probe8slides on the guide plate4as the conveyor table3is rotated. The measurement probe8is then directed by the guide entrance5to the work W in the work receiving opening6and makes contact with the work W. The measurement probe8exits from the guide entrance5.
