ABSTRACT:
A wood type golf club where the acme of proper address (and contact) and alignment of the club with the target are achieved by angling the hosel and/or shaft forward some 3.degree. to 6.degree. from the normal parallel line up between the shaft and face of the conventional wood club, and the use of a plurality of parallel spaced stripes in a substantial area on the top surface of the head of the wood club which stripes are perpendicular to the plane of the striking face and aligned parallel with the line to the target. If the alignment is properly made at the time of address the shaft of the club will be in position for proper straight left arm and shaft extension for proper impact position toward the target.
