ABSTRACT:
The object of one aspect of the invention is to develop a method by means of which the erection of wind power installations can be effected even more advantageously but in particular also more quickly.A further aim of one aspect of the invention is to provide in particular a solution which is suitable for offshore wind power installations.According to one aspect, a wind power installation comprising a pylon which is based on a foundation and a power module, wherein the power module has at least one transformer, by means of which the electrical energy provided by the generator of the wind power installation is transformed to a medium voltage or a high voltage, wherein the power module also includes further units, by means of which the electrical energy produced by the generator of the wind power installation is controlled and/or supplied and/or converted, wherein the power module has a support which is placed on the foundation of the wind power installation, and the support accommodates the electrical devices of the power module such as for example the transformer and the width and/or length of the power module are less than the diameter of the pylon of the wind power installation in the foundation region, characterized in that the power module is accommodated by a container, wherein the wall of the container is disposed between the pylon wall and the power module.
