The housing (60) is made from fluid-impervious material and is shaped and configured to completely enclose the weight sensor (10) in a fluid tight manner. The housing (60) includes a bottom portion in the form of a weight sensor accessory pad (62). The pad (62) includes a grooved lower surface (64), the grooves (66) being configured to enhance dispersion, in use, of fluids trapped between the pad (62) and a surface on which the pad (62) rests when a downward force is applied to the part (62).
