ABSTRACT:
A weaving machine of the non-reciprocating continuous type comprises weft carriers which are advanced along the weft direction by impulses imparted by a series of rocking sinkers arranged along the weft direction. The impulses are applied by pivotal movement of successive sinkers in one direction, and during movement of each sinker in the reverse direction the sinker acts to beat-up the deposited weft. Pivotal movement of the sinkers is effected by an endless sinker control track which is driven continuously by an endless chain.
