ABSTRACT:
A weather cap for upstanding exhaust pipes for gasoline and diesel engines and the like having an improved mechanism for securing the cap to the pipe. The mechanism comprises an elongated post to extend from the upper edge of the exhaust pipe into the pipe, with a resilient strip spring secured to the post so that the strip string bears against the interior of the pipe thereby securing the cap in position on the pipe.
