ABSTRACT:
A wear disk for a crimping machine used in the manufacture of synthetic fibers comprises a sinter material of metal and carbon having an apparent density of from 4 to 7 g/cm.sup.3. The metal of the sinter material is particularly copper or an alloy thereof and therefore highly heat conductive.
